What have I been up to?

What have I been up to?

It’s been at least a couple of weeks since my last post and although I have been very busy I’m sorry to say that blogging is not one of the things that I have been busy with. Like last year I have hit the ground in London running but work is keeping me more than occupied.
Although I have done this before, the change of moving to another country and changing routines again isn’t easy. It does get a little bit better each time that you do it but there are still things that throw you off you game.
I’ve been very lucky that the friends that I am staying with have let me stay on with them until my place is ready in early September. While I love staying with them I cannot tell you how much I am looking forward to being able to put my feet up on my own couch and watch my own tv in my own little slice of London.
Even though I have been busy all work and no play makes Shannon a very dull boy. This time round I’m feeling much more confident and although I still feel very out of my comfort zone in clubs and bars I did manage to venture down to Brighton Pride a couple of weeks ago.
It was the first time that I have visited the seaside town and I’m glad that I did. Last year I was disappointed that I didn’t spend as much time looking around london and the surrounding areas as I had wanted. There are reasons for that which I’ll talk about later but for now let me just say that it felt good to be out with my friends again.
Brighton is quite pretty and with Pride on the whole place seemed to come alive. It’s also a University town with a very young population for what I was expecting.
Brighton Pride felt much more community based than any other Pride that I have been too. I stopped going to the really big Prides like Sydney Mardi Gras because they feel a little too much about the D and less about the P. There was a lot of partying, but it was without the topless underwear clad cover models on every corner that make the larger pride events just look like an excuse for a flesh fest.

There was feast of hot guys to be had, but I really got to enjoy the day with out the Guilt of not having spent the last 6 months at the gym. The atmosphere was charged with a happy party vibe ( and probably a good deal of Meow Meow, we’ll chat about that later ) and the sunshine throughout the afternoon made for a perfect scene as the sun set and we headed back to the train.
If you ever make the trip to Brighton I recommend the train but I especially suggest you take it on Pride Weekend. Make sure you buy your ticket in advance to avoid the VERY long lines and catch the train early from one of the city terminals to increase your chances of getting a seat. On the way back try to leave before 9 pm so that you don’t have to line up for hours at Brighton station. You will probably have to sit on the floor for the return trip, but don’t worry it’s just as friendly and just as much fun as Pride itself, and a great place for a perve and a chat as the thick thighs and bubblebutts climb over you.
Brighton Pride I might be a bit late but I love you.

Brighton is a lovely place. I grew up in Hastings which as you might know is only a stones throw from there. Your photos of Brighton bring back many happy memories. Glad you are enjoying your time in London and agree once you get your own place it will feel much more like home and you can do what you like (hee hee and hope to hear more about that later too).
    Be safe babe XXX
