London Staycation.

Two weeks in to my break from work and with another two weeks to go I am starting to get a little bit restless. The last two weeks have been great. The first week was all about catching up on my sleep. Week two was all about getting the things done like fixing up my room and registering for a GP, but now it’s time to get out and see some stuff.

I was planning to go away for a little bit to somewhere like Paris for a night but with my break extending from two to four weeks it became financially risky to leave town so I have had to make a slight change in my plans and have a staycation instead.

A Staycation is a holiday where you stay at home… Stay-cation. So far my staycation has been all about sleeping in, laying around on the couch enjoying the terrible free to air TV, eating Nando’s and jerking off to Tumblr posts.

But this coming week I plan to extend my Staycation to greater London and go exploring. I’ve topped up my Oyster, packed my bottle of water for the Tube and borrowed a sleek little Sony NEX to snap all those touristy shots you have been waiting to see.

On the list are, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Big Ben, Hyde park, Buckingham Palace and anywhere else that I can fit in along the way. I even have a couple of blog buddies who have offered to play tour guide which is awesome. If you’re keen to play tour guide yourself let me know, a little local knowledge goes a long way.

The BEST way to see any new place is with the natives. Both trips to England have been touristy free thanks to blog buddies and an old friend from the States!

    Peace <3
