Orlando Hero Dr Joseph Ibrahim.

June 28, 2016

A medic who treated victims of the Pulse gay club shooting in Orlando has opened up about the horrific experience. 49 people died and more than 50 were injured in the shooting, when a gunman who swore allegiance to ISIS opened fire inside the gay club, which was holding a Latin night. The victims were disproportionately Latino LGBT people. One of the doctors called to the scene, Dr Joseph Ibrahim, spoke about…

I just got home from the London Pride parade for a quick change before heading out for some dancing and celebrating with friends and I thought I’d share these pictures straight out of the camera with you. What an amazing Parade this year with all the wonderful colour, flesh, music and paegentry we’ve come to expect from these events and also for some reason a giant Burrito. Happy Pride everybody….

It’s okay to disagree but when you go out of your way to sabotage another person, that’s just plain shit.

February 25, 2016

It’s okay to disagree but when you go out of your way to sabotage another person, that’s just plain shit. Earlier last week I posted about the same sex gender diverse formal and the attempts to sabotage it by a Christian ( how do they say that and keep a straight face? ) conservative group who are also trying to stop the safe schools initiative in Australia. This years Christmas message…

December 24, 2015

Another year done and Christmas eve is already here. Im not one for the religious side of Christmas but it does represent a nice bookend for the year and a time to reflect on how the past 12 months have been. Reader question. You don’t believe in God, is it because you are Gay?

June 30, 2015

I guess the way to answer this question is that it’s not that I don’t believe in God, it’s that I think it’s extremely unlikely given the evidence. It has nothing to do with my sexuality. In Primary School I remember going to bible classes and never really seeing it as anything more than fairy tales. I just never bought it, and believe me there were plenty of adults around…

Barcelona La Sagrada Familia

December 22, 2014

Top of my list of places to visit in Barcelona is the Sagrada Familia. This iconic structure in the heart of Barcelona is a must see for anybody who has a love of architecture and human creativity. It’s one of the most stunning buildings I have ever seen and when finished will be quite simply breath taking. Barcelona is famous for it’s architecture particularly by Antoni Gaudí. Gaudi’s work can be seen…

New Zealand 1 – Australia 0

April 19, 2013

This week New Zealand became the first country in the Asia-Pacific region to achieve equal marriage. With 13 countries now recognising marriage equality, Australia long thought of as a modern progressive nation is lagging sorely behind. I admit that my own views on equal marriage have changed over time. Originally I didn’t really have an opinion either way. I didn’t think I needed to have my relationships validated by anyone….

Ding dong the witch is dead!

April 9, 2013

The recent death of Margaret Thatcher and the dialogue that has been flying around social media since has caught my attention. For those of you who don’t know who Margaret Thatcher is I suggest you do a quick google search. But this post is not about her it is about us and our reaction to these kinds of events. You don’t have to look far on Facebook to find posts…
