A few years ago I spent six weeks sailing down the north coast of Queensland. What I discovered was that I was really running away from my depression not actually confronting it. We all have our journeys to take and I have often though about hitting the trail again. Learning that you can rely on yourself and finding your strength is a huge part of the recovery and of the day to day management of depression. This guy is brave for making this journey both for himself and to raise awareness of mental health issues. While I find myself struggling again in London I too am thinking about hitting the trail of self discovery again.
