A fashion tip from the unfashionable.
Im not really known for my fashion sense, most people know me better with my clothes off…
but there are a few things I have learned about travelling and packing a suit case that I think are useful to share.
Whether its cold or warm there are a few things that I like to always have in my wardrobe. I’m a big hoodie guy and I always have a few just floating around. They are a key basic of a good wardrobe if you are the kind of person like me who travels or moves around a lot.
Firstly there is the comfort factor. It doesn’t matter if you are travelling to another continent or just to work in the morning a good hoodie will keep you warm as you fly, drive, or sail to your destination. You can pull the hood over for some privacy and they go easily under a jacket or blanket. When you’re tired and hungry having a nice fleecy hood to pull over you head is very comforting.
Second is the fashion factor. If you are worried about being on trend wherever you are headed then stick to plain comfortable basics in colours that are easy to build on. With a grey Hoodie and a black Hoodie you can’t go wrong and you can always add colour and flair later. I stay away from prints and branding. I find clothing with brand names all over them a little bit tacky, clean simple colours are what you want.
This Grey Stencil Hood is available from AS Colour on Chapel St, Prahran, Melbourne and for cool $48.00 is totally worth it.
Or do what I did and grab 2 Hoodies and 3 t-shirts for a bargain $110.00
