It’s there in your backyard.

When I moved out here to the suburbs I was disappointed that I wasn’t going to be within a short bike ride of the beach and the city where I find most of my inspiration. I also enjoyed riding and jogging around the more beautiful spots like the botanical gardens and Yarra river.

At first moving out to the suburbs made me grumpy and everywhere I looked I saw all the things that made me not want to be here and none of the things that I really enjoyed. But as time went on and I decided to spend some time exploring I have discovered that there is a whole bag of new inspiration to be found out here.

The run down factories and old commercial estates have an interest all of their own but for now I am most excited to have discovered some wet lands not more than 100 meters from my backyard.

I guess when we move around we always take our comfort zone with us and when it doesn’t fit we sulk. But the only way to get comfortable in a new place is to get out in it.

I love discoveries like this and the long grass and natural sense of the Aussie countryside right here where I live has given me all kinds of naughty ideas. This weeks sealed section post was inspired by the excitement.

I’m looking forward to exploring my new neighborhood more now and I hope you enjoy this peak at my new favorite place.
