My vision for 2013

As part of my preparation for getting back to work next week I decided to put together a vision board for the year ahead. A vision board is kind of map or plan for what you want to achieve for the year ahead.

It can be as detailed as you like or can be as simple as a list of words or reminders to help you stay focussed on what you want throughout the year. It’s about dream building and inspiration.

When you build a vision board you simply fill it with all the amazing things you would like to achieve or have in your life. It should inspire and excite you.

My vision board includes several things that I have been wanting to get done but which I have struggled with. By putting on my vision board this year I hope to inspire myself to finally make them happen. I want to publish two photo books, and have another exhibition. I have so much work and so many ideas in my head that I really want to share so this year is about making all that happen.

I have included fitness on my board. I could have used a picture of some hunky guy but I chose a picture of myself. The picture  I chose comes from a time when I was really happy with my body and my fitness and rather than putting up some photoshopped cover boy that would make me feel inadequate, I decided that a picture of myself feeling awesome was a much better motivation and a reminder that it’s totally achievable.

Travel features strongly on my board. I have always wanted to ride the A380 and Machu Picchu and Los Angeles are strong motivators this year. LA doubly so because I am working towards some amazing opportunities over there.

Abundance comes next. Not to be confused with money or wealth alone. Money is part of it but abundance in my life means having all the things I love and need in plentiful supply. Money will come as part of that.

And finally Love. This year I want to be open to love again and to find somebody special.

Surrounding these things are some of my favourite quotes to help remind me to stay on track and keep things going, even when there are bumps in the road.

Of course there is plenty of room to add more stuff later on as things present themselves. I have made my vision board my desktop on both my Mac and my Macbook.

Of course you can create your own vision board to help you manifest all the amazing things that you deserve this year. What will you include?

Tally ho fellow Space Time Travellers… Tally Ho!

Great vision board Shannon. I especially like that you used a picture of yourself when you were happy with your body. That is such a great idea. I hope I am still in San Diego when and if you come to visit LA it would be really cool to maybe get to meet you. Just a thought.
