Train hard, expect success.

I am asked constantly by readers of the blog about my workout routines and how I keep myself in shape. Mostly I think I am blessed with reasonable genetics, however training and hard work is also key.

I have had very few trainers in my time mostly because I found a lot of them to not be very good. I would be slaving away on a machine while my “trainer” sipped a latte and texted on his phone.

Baden however was an exception.

Most of my trainers didn’t make it past the second session. Baden lasted a year and if I hadn’t made the move back to Melbourne I would still be training with him now. Not only did I love training with him but he was one of the few trainers that was actually able to keep me motivated. Training with him actually made me want to work harder. The results were awesome. It is not often that you find a trainer genuinely invested in getting you a result and even when I was struggling Baden never lost focus on my goals.

One of the best things about training with Baden was his strong focus on technique. So much so that it gave me an excellent base to work from with my own workouts and the year I worked with him was almost entirely injury free.

If you are in Sydney and looking for a trainer then he is your man. You can check out his blog for awesome workout advice and motivation here.

HA! I fixed the comment form in Firefox! It was one of my ad blockers!
Anyway, I can attest to the power of the gym. I finally decided to get off my fat a$$ and start using the gym membership I have been paying for. Two sessions with a trainer so far (22 to go), and 2 1/3 circuit sets (over 9 days), and I am down 7 pounds. Not bad – only 12x that to go! Man, I am motivated!
    Peace <3
