>How much is my life worth?
$20.00 according to my recent decision when I booked my flight to Sydney.
I booked my flight last Thursday and a interesting question came up. I was sitting in the travel agents while he looked at flights.
I always fly Virgin because I have generally had really great experiences flying with them and they are usually the cheapest fare. This time however it turned out the cheapest fare was on Qantas.
I don’t like flying Qantas. Mostly is find their service poor and recently they have been in the papers nearly every week because of some kind of mechanical failure.
I had a problem. Fly Virgin and feel comfortable and safe or fly Qantas, get more baggage allowance, risk falling out of the sky and save $20.00.
I chose to fly Qantas so apparently my life is worth $20.00 but I’m not too stressed. More chance of a car accident after all.
How many times have we heard stories on the news saying,
“if only they had a smoke detector”,
“if only they had life jackets”,
“if only he had been wearing a GPS tracker”,
“if only they had had the brakes checked”,
“if only they had airbag”,
“if only they had worn a seat belt”,
How much is your life worth?
